TNPSC Group 2 Main Exam Syllabus

General studies (degree standard) - Main Test consists of two parts i.e. Part A and Part B, such as -

Part A; Topics for objective type (Role and impact of science and Technology in the Development of India and Tamil Nadu/Administration of Union and States with special reference to Tamil Nadu /Socio ­ Economic Issues in India or Tamil Nadu)

Part B; Essay (Descriptive Type)/ Current issues at National Level/ Current issues at State Level

TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern:

The paper is divided into three parts i.e. Preliminary, Main and Oral.

In PAPER A; Preliminary “General Studies / Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (150 marks)”, Main Exam “General Studies (Objective type) (Degree Standard) (125 items) (250 marks)” and “An interview is conducted (40 marks)” Oral Test. 

In PAPER B; Preliminary are of “General Tamil / General English (150 marks)” and Main will be having Essay (Descriptive Type) (Degree Standard) (50 marks).
