Union Public
Service Commission has released a latest IFS
Notification concerning, UPSC is going to conduct UPSC Indian Forest
Service Exam. For same online application forms are invited from candidates so,
who fulfill all eligibility criteria must fill the IFS Application Form through
online mode and submit it on or before the last date 17th March 2017.
The UPSC IFS
Exam is conducted in two major stages that is Preliminary and Main Exam. Those
candidates who will qualify in the Pre Exam they may appear for Mains Exam and
final selection will be done on basis of Interview. For getting complete

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Applicants,
who are willing to apply for Union Public Service Commission examination,
should be either:- A citizen of India, OR A subject of Nepal, OR A subject of
Bhutan, OR A Tibetan refugee who arrive over to India before 1st January, 1962
with the purpose of undyingly settling in India
OR
An Individual
of Indian origin (PIO) who has roamed from Srilanka, East African countries of
Kenya, Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia,
Ethiopia, Malawi, Zaire and Vietnam with the intent of eternally settling in
India. Provided that an applicant belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e)
shall be an individual in whose favour a official document of eligibility has
been issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification
Applying
candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects
namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics,
Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry
or in Engineering of any of Universities / Institutions.
Graduation
degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of reputed
Universities in India or other educational institutions established by an Act
of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the
University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limitation
A candidate
must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32
years on 1st August, 2017 i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd
August, 1985 and not later than 1st August, 1996. Aspirants, who categorized
under SC/ST will be given 5 years relaxation and OBC applicants will be given 3
years relaxation as on 1st August 2015.
Application Fee
Candidates
applying for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay a fee
of Rs.100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash.
OR can be
paid by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State
Bank/ Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of
Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. There is no fee for
reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC), physically handicapped and female
candidates.
Process of Selection
Selection of
aspirants will be based on their performance in Preliminary Written Examination
/ Mains Examination/ Personal Interview.
Candidates
who will be declared by the Commission to have qualified for admission to the
Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination will have to apply again, in the
Online Detailed Application Form which would be made available on the Website
of the Commission after declaration of Results of Preliminary Examination

Process to Fill Online Application Form
- Applicants need to firstly visit official website of organization that is www.upsc.gov.in
- On home page of official site go to “Apply Online” section and hit the link.
- On next page again hit on “Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC” link.
- Then under the Part –I Registration you need to hit “Press Here” tab.
- Now fill application form with providing complete information about your name, qualification, experience, caste etc.
- Upload the passport size photograph and need to upload their signature on the provided space in application form.
- After completion of Part-I registration you need to go under Part-II Registration link and fill all information.
- After completion of application form press “Submit” tab.
- At last take a print out of duly filled IFS Online Registration for future use.

Exam will be on 18.06.2017 and Main Examination is in December, 2017
